Yes We Can

Barack Obama. By far and away the best candidate for the 2008 Presidential Election. Please, research the candidates as much as you can, and then come back to and tell me what you think… Read more
Regency Lake With Amanda And Riley
Regency Lake in Cary, NC. Amanda and I took Riley out there around sunset, so between that and the swans, it ended up being a pretty good photo set. Yes, there are really swans out at Regency, which Riley tried to fight. I think he would have lost though… their big… Read more
New York With Amanda
Amanda and I decided to take a weekend trip up to New York to see a show! It was very cold but very worth it. I’d say it was about 20-25 degrees most of the time, but luckily there was a starbucks on every corner so we could duck in and warm up. I took some pictures at night of Times Square, and that was probbaly not the greatest idea, since it was down into the teens by then. I got some decent shots, but nothing amazing. The play we ended up seeing was “The Color Purple” with Chaka Kahn, Bebe Winans and LaKisha Jones (from American Idol). We were trying to see Wicked, but it was sold out for weeks, but it turns out that The Color Purple is Awesome! So yeah, the trip was great, and I can’t wait to go back.

Grey’s 30th Birthday at Bahama Breeze
Grey’s 30th Birthday at Bahama Breeze. This was awesome, pretty much everybody showed up and we had a blast. It was catered and we had an entire section blocked off just for the party. Though it was January, it didn’t really feel like it with all the beach drinks and shrimp and a of course, the guy on steel drums! There are a bunch of funny moments, but there is one that will soon be famous… towards the end of the night, Dave is trying to dance with grey, for like 2-3 minutes he keeps on, and eventually she gets slightly… lets say… “over” that idea. I have the entire thing on video… Read more
Jane Goodall at Duke
Jane Goodall at Duke. Me and my mom went to go see Jane Goodall speak at Duke University. It was a very interesting speech about how the chimpanzee population, specifically in the Tanzanian Congo, is directly effected by all the human interaction and destruction. The basic idea of the speech was taking all of her findings, and then expanding that to a broader, global view on civilization. She had a new book out called “Reason for Hope”, which we both picked up and got her to sign. There was a very long line (about an hour or more) but eventually we made it, and even go this picture too…
Wendi & Dean’s Wedding in Wilmington
Wendi & Dean’s Wedding in Wilmington. Amanda and I went down to Wilmington for the weekend wedding and ended up staying at a B&B because the wedding hotel was booked. It turned out that the B&B was cheaper, closer, and better than the hotel so everybody was jealous! It actually rained pretty hard right after the wedding (which was outside) but before the reception, the reception was inside though, so it wasn’t too big of a deal. The next day we went to Wrightsville beach, we went up around figure 8 island and just in general did nothing… Read more
Atlantic Beach & Harker’s Island
Atlantic Beach & Harker’s Island. We went down to the beach and ended up doing a tour of Beufort, Moorehead, Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle, and Harker’s Island. I didn’t get pictures from everywhere, but apparently I like to take “scenery” pictures when I go to the beach, because there are a lot of them! It was also Riley’s birthday (the puppy), so we took him to Fort Macon for the day. He said it was the best fort he’d ever seen… Read more
